CHICAGO -- After a strong showing at the NBA Draft Combine this week, former Kansas forward Cheick Diallo is expected to sign with an agent on Monday, a source close to Diallo told SNY.tv.

One NBA executive at the Combine told SNY.tv that of the 60+ players at the event, the 6-foot-9 Diallo probably helped his stock more than any other player.

The Mali native is currently projected at No. 32 by DraftExpress.com, but could move into the first round based on his play here.

CHICAGO -- Cheick Diallo hasn't yet signed with an agent but says he will "probably" remain in the NBA Draft, and the former Kansas big man helped himself with a big-time performance on Thursday at the NBA Draft Combine.

"Well, I'm not 100 percent right now, I'm still thinking," Diallo, who spent one year at Kansas following his time at Our Savior New American on Long Island and with the PSA Cardinals AAU program, said here Thursday. "Probably yes, I'm going but I'm not 100 percent yet."

Diallo is currently projected as the No. 32 pick by DraftExpress.com, but the way he played on Thursday certainly could help his stock.

ROSELLE, N.J. -- Kansas coach Bill Self said he expects freshman forward Cheick Diallo to hire an agent and head to the NBA Draft.

On March 28, we reported via soures that Diallo would test the NBA Draft waters but wouldn't hire an agent.

"I expect that right now [that he will hire an agent], but that hasn't been 100 percent confirmed to me," Self told SNY.tv on Friday at the New Jersey coaches' clinic at Roselle Catholic, where he was joined by Kentucky coach John Calipari and SMU coach Larry Brown, among others, in speaking before 250 college and high school coaches. "But all indications were that that that was route they were going to take."

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Wayne Selden Jr. sliced down the lane, saw the defense collapse and whipped a pass behind his back, hoping against everything that Cheick Diallo would be there to catch it.

Not only was he there, Diallo was ready to flush it.

In his much-anticipated debut for fourth-ranked Kansas, the 6-foot-9 freshman from Mali had a trio of highlight-reel dunks Tuesday night. He finished with 13 points, six rebounds and three blocks while helping the Jayhawks overcome a first-half malaise for a 94-61 victory over Loyola.

Kansas coach Bill Self sounds like he's ready to sit back and watch Cheick Diallo's attorney and the NCAA slug it out over the freshman big man's eligibility.

One day after Diallo's camp hired Alabama-based attorney Donald Jackson to handle the case, Self said he expects Diallo's attorney to do "whatever it takes" to get the former Our Savior New American star eligible to play.

"We're frustrated," Self said, according to the KC Star. "We fought our butts off. So I'm frustrated. But the whole thing is, the NCAA knew that this was going to happen.
