Maryland guard Melo Trimble and center Diamond Stone will enter their names in this year's NBA Draft, the school announced.

Trimble will not hire an agent to preserve his NCAA eligibility, while Stone will officially declare for the draft and hire an agent. They are the projected 35th and 23rd picks, respectively, in the draft, according to Draft Express.

"I am looking forward to taking advantage of this opportunity and entering my name in the NBA draft," Trimble said in a press release. "I am excited that the new rules allow me the chance to go through this process."

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - Maryland freshman center Diamond Stone has been suspended for a game by coach Mark Turgeon for his behavior Saturday against Wisconsin.

Stone was issued a dead ball technical foul late in the first half. After Stone and Wisconsin's Vitto Brown went to the floor underneath the basket, Stone pushed Brown's face onto the court after they became untangled.

Turgeon said Monday that Stone will miss Thursday's game at Minnesota.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) -- Diamond Stone had several thunderous dunks, made key free throws and was an all-around force on his way to a record-setting performance.

Stone scored 39 points, the most-ever by a Maryland freshman, and had 12 rebounds, leading the fourth-ranked Terrapins to a 70-64 victory over Penn State in their Big Ten opener Wednesday night. Stone also set a program-record with 19 free throws on 25 attempts.

"I don't pay too much mind to it," Stone, the projected No. 17 pick in the NBA Draft according to DraftExpress.com, said about the records. "I knew I was in the zone, but I wasn't aware of any points or records. We're trying to win the Big Ten and this is the first game. It means a lot to get this first win."
