SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) -- It's been a month since Syracuse coach Dino Babers delivered a stirring postgame locker room speech that went viral on social media after the most important victory of his first year with the Orange.

But since that upset win over then-No. 17 Virginia Tech, "Our house!" has become "Their house." Syracuse lost its next home game - 35-20 last week to North Carolina State to fall to 2-3 in the Carrier Dome. Now, the Orange have a chance to reclaim their house and send their seniors out with a victory when they close their home schedule on Saturday against No. 17 Florida State (7-3, 4-3 ACC, No. 17 CFP).

NEW YORK -- Jonathan Isaac -- and his fellow Jordan Brand Classic teammates -- worked out in front of about 40 NBA personnel on Thursday at Terminal 23, but the Florida State signee says he's focusing on future NBA Drafts and no longer the one in 2016.

The 6-foot-10, 205-pound forward originally from The Bronx is currently slotted at No. 13 in the 2017 Draft by DraftExpress.com.

"Yeah, I have seen that," Isaac told SNY.tv this week. "It just makes me feel good. It tells me I have a lot of work to do because I don't want to be Top 10, I want to be No. 1."

Florida State Seminoles head coach Sue Semrau (Rob Kinnan)

Florida State's women's basketball team wrapped up final exams this week. Now the Seminoles face a doctoral thesis-like challenge: beating top-ranked Connecticut.

The No. 11 Seminoles square off against the Huskies Friday in the Hall of Fame Women's Showcase at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut. It is the first national opportunity this season for the Seminoles so show if they are a legitimate national contender after reaching the Elite Eight for the second time in six seasons last year.

"We look at it as an opportunity to grow our program," coach Sue Semrau said. "But our measure is not just against UConn but the other top teams."

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Whether or not LeBron James and the Miami Heat win the NBA championship, they figure to be a major stumbling block for the Knicks over the next several years in the Eastern Conference.

With that in mind, the organization is looking at defensive-minded wings who can help contain stars like James and Dwyane Wade.

One such wing, 6-foot-8 1/2, 230-pound Chris Singleton of Florida State worked out Thursday for the Knicks, along with point guards Iman Shumpert of Georgia Tech and Charles Jenkins of Hofstra.
