Despite the transfer window being closed, the New York Red Bulls are looking at potential roster additions. Red Bulls Communications Specialist Eric Giacometti reported that there are two players on trial from the sister club in Brazil.
Joao Gabriel is a 20-year-old striker who had a successful stint with Cruzeiro's Under-20 team. Perusses is a 20-year-old fullback who is on RB Brasil's senior team.
Both striker and fullback are a position of need for the Red Bulls. The club has yet to find a suitable backup striker, with Gonzalo Veron being forced to the wing during infrequent appearances, short-term loanee Omer Damari constantly injured, and Anatole Abang sent to Denmark.
