Now that he has surpassed Brandon Jacobs on the depth chart, Ahmad Bradshaw will finally get the chance to show that he can be a feature back.? Although it may only be a 60:40 split at first, Bradshaw can widen the margin by playing the way he always has when healthy.? If he does so, 1,000 yards is easily within his reach.

That is why I am semi-boldly predicting that Ahmad Bradshaw will lead the NFC East in rushing yards.

Last year, Justin Tuck?s season was marred with injuries, namely a shoulder injury he suffered when Flozell ?The Hotel? Adams illegally tripped him.? Now that he is healthy, Tuck is set to lead what should (hopefully) be a re-energized Giants defense.

It all starts up front with the defensive line, and Tuck is expected to be more of a vocal leader.? This new tenacity, coupled with a new defensive coordinator and upgraded talent in the defensive backfield will lead to more sacks and turnovers.

The Giants? biggest offseason acquisition was unquestionably ball hawking safety Antrel Rolle.? Rolle brought over something that this secondary sorely lacked last season: playmaking ability.? Injured Kenny Phillips showed flashes of developing into one of the leagues best safeties before going under the knife.? Reports are that he is now practicing without restrictions.

When Rolle signed with the team, he stated that he was one part of the NFL?s best safety duo, and I would have to agree.

Thanks in part to a healthy defensive line and a new defensive coordinator whose specialty is the secondary, I am semi-boldly predicting that Antrel Rolle and Kenny Phillips will combine for at least ten interceptions.

Last year I predicted that Nicks would finish the season as the Giants' top receiver, only to see him get injured and Steve Smith blossom into one of the NFL?s best receivers.

This year, I?m so confident in the young receiver that I am semi-boldly predicting Hakeem Nicks will lead Big Blue in both receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.

Smith will lead the team in receptions, but we already knew that.
