Knicks head coach David Fizdale's lineup experiment continues on Friday night when his starting five will feature all three rookies for the first time this season.

First-rounder Kevin Knox got his first career start against the Thunder in Wednesday's 128-103 blowout, and second-rounder Mitchell Robinson has been cemented at center for some time now.

It will be undrafted rookie Allonzo Trier making his first career start, as he has impressed early on this season. The three rookies will work alongside Emmanuel Mudiay and Tim Hardaway Jr. at tip off.

The Knicks tried a new starting five on Wednesday night, but it didn't work as Paul George led the Thunder to a dominant 128-103 win on their home court. >> Box score

Things to know about Sunday's game

1) Head coach David Fizdale mixed up his starters with rookie Kevin Knox getting his first career start, and Emmanuel Mudiay taking over for Damyean Dotson and Frank Ntilikina respectively. But the move didn't change the woes the Knicks have faced in the last three games. Knox did finish with 15 points, but only on 5-of-16 from the field, including two three-pointers. Mudiay had just seven points, and was quick to dish the ball back out to the perimeter when he looked to have an open lane to the bucket on some possessions.

It could be Kevin Knox' time to shine for the Knicks.

Head coach David Fizdale has seen his team suffer back-to-back blowout losses, and as a result, some lineup changes may follow. His first big switch was benching Enes Kanter, Trey Burke, and Lance Thomas for Mitchell Robinson, Damyean Dotson and Noah Vonleh

The Knicks are shaking up their lineup for Wednesday night's game, with Kevin Knox and Emmanuel Mudiay in, replacing Damyean Dotson and Frank Ntilikina.

Ntilikina had been struggling with his shot recently, with head coach David Fizdale limiting him to six minutes during Sunday's loss to the Magic.

Knox, who recently returned after dealing with an ankle injury, has been shaking off the rust while coming off the bench and will be making his first career start...

Knicks lose in double overtime 00:01:23
Knicks head coach David Fizdale and center Enes Kanter comment on the Knicks' loss to the Bulls in double overtime, 116-115.

Despite clutch game-tying shots by Allonzo Trier in regulation and Emmanuel Mudiay in double overtime, Zach LaVine hit a free throw with 0.2 seconds remaining in the second overtime after a Mudiay foul as the Knicks lost to the Chicago Bulls 116-115 on Monday at Madison Square Garden.

Things to know about Monday's game

1. Mudiay tied the game with a fastbreak layup with 2.7 seconds remaining to tie the game at 115, but he fouled LaVine on a shot attempt in the final second. LaVine hit the first free throw and missed the second as New York fell to 3-7.

2. Trier scored 11 of his 21 points in the final 5:17 of regulation, including a 27-foot 3-pointer with 41.9 seconds remaining to tie the game at 102. With 3 seconds left, though, he missed a potential game-winning jumper and Mario Hezonja missed a put-back layup attempt that forced overtime.

The Knicks wrapped up their preseason schedule on Friday night, but their remains some mystery and intrigue heading into the regular season.

Who will be the starting point guard?

Head coach David Fizdale said following Friday's 113-107 loss to the Nets that he is still unsure who will be given that role for the start of the regular season against the Hawks on Wednesday. Fizdale, in his first season as Knicks coach, had four different starters in five games at point guard, which consisted of Ron Baker, Frank Ntilikina, Trey Burke and Emmanual Mudiay.

Knicks SG Damyean Dotson loves what he has seen so far from new head coach David Fizdale.

Fizdale was brought in by GM Scott Perry and team president Steve Mills to change the culture of the team. Though the season hasn't started yet, Dotson can already feel a change.

"Coach is a great guy," he told The Post's Marc Berman. "He knows what he is talking about. Very detailed and makes sure everyone is on the same page, feedling off each other and together. He's big into making sure we come together, play together and believe in each other. That we produce, play hard and scrappy. All the things that you want a coach to do. He inherited that mindset from [Pat] RIley and [Erik] Spoelstra. He has instilled a great culture in himself and wants to put that into our team."

Looking to improve on his rookie season, Knicks PG Frank Ntilikina is back in New York, and ready to get to work with new head coach David Fizdale.

Ntilikina has been in his home France, but he has returned for Fizdale's first informal workout with the team on Monday, per The Post's Marc Berman. Players like Emmanuel Mudiay, Trey Burke, Damyean Dotson, and Troy Williams are expected to be at the workout as well.

The 19-year-old has been texting his new head coach, but the two haven't officially met in person. But Fizdale made it a point to say that he wants to build a "great relationship" with all of his players before training camp officially kicks off...

Jake Brown | Twitter | Accountability. Accountability. Accountability. That is something David Fizdale is ready to hammer down. And It's something that Jeff Hornacek failed to do in his two forgettable seasons coaching the Knicks.

According to Knicks president Steve Mills and GM Scott Perry, current NBA players, coaches, and executives all spoke highly of Fizdale, calling him someone who holds people accountable. That attribute, mixed with being a "tireless worker" and an "innovative basketball mind," all add up to what the Knicks have been missing.

Also, a high character head coach is something the Knicks badly needed. Fizdale fills that void. Nobody used the words "high character" when speaking about Hornacek. The 43-year-old Fizdale is a dozen years younger and can get into the ears of these players. If someone is playing poorly, Fizdale will sit them...

For Knicks PG Emmanuel Mudiay, change has become standard.

Mudiay experienced his first trade when the Nuggets dealt him to the Knicks midway through the 2017-18 season. He went from playing under head coach Mike Malone to working in the guard-heavy system of Jeff Hornacek in New York.

Now, he has yet another head coach to learn from.

Despite the Knicks dominating the Heat at Madison Square Garden on Friday night, several players sustained injuries.

It was forward Michael Beasley who left the game with a left knee contusion in first quarter. He was previously out against the Magic with an illness as well.

Point guard Emmanuel Mudiay also left Friday's contest with a headache, which was later diagnosed a concussion. He won't be in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Bucks.

Mike Crispino, the radio play-by-play voice of the Knicks, has had more than his fair share of time to check out top-five draft prospect Emmanuel Mudiay as he plays in the Chinese Basketball Association (Post, March 6).

Crispino has broadcast about 20 China league games, including Monday's Game 4 of the semifinals, which pitted former Knick Stephon Marbury against Mudiay at point guard.

?I did a couple of his games early on and he looked like a high school player who didn?t look physically up to being in a professional league ? he looked like a teenager," Crispino said Wednesday. ?He showed flashes of being a good basketball player, but nothing like he?d be a top-5 pick."
