The defense got hot late last year, as did the rushing game, and the Giants won a championship. But that did not change the fact that things needed to change. The Giants have been stockpiling good defensive players and drafted a RB (Virginia Tech's David Wilson) in the first round of this year's NFL Draft.
Ahmad Bradshaw became the featured back when Brandon Jacobs left via free agency. Wilson was supposed to challenge Bradshaw for playing time, but ball security and poor blocking tactics have pushed him down the depth chart. When Bradshaw twisted his neck halfway through the Tampa Bay game, the player who got his number called was not Wilson, but 2009 fourth-round pick Andre Brown. You know the rest. Brown has knocked it out of the park.
Now Bradshaw is coming back. Tom Coughlin says he will start and Brown will see a bulk of touches as well. What is this going to look like? Giant fans are chomping at the bit to find out.
Daily News Live discusses what kind of impact the return of Ahmad Bradshaw will have on the Giants' offense.
