The Giants' first injury report came out on Wednesday ahead of their Opening Week matchup with the Cowboys on the road.
Right tackle Mike Remmers was the biggest name on that list, but he wasn't someone that head coach Pat Shurmur mentioned in his opening remarks Wednesday morning. He did mention rookie WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) and TE Garrett Dickerson (quad) as players who may not practice.
Remmers, though, was listed as "illness/back" on the report. This isn't the best sign with the back part after his offseason back surgery that he had to recover from.
The Giants have been lauding their revamped offensive line this season, and Remmers is a big part of that with Big Blue trying to shore up their right side. Kevin Zeitler was brought in from the Browns to bring a veteran presence at right guard.
Hopefully this isn't something too serious for Remmers, but that will come to light later in the week.
Players that had been dealing with injuries in CB Antonio Hamilton (Abductor) and LB Nate Stupar (concussion) were both full participants at practice.
On the Cowboys side, LB Luke Gifford, former Giants S Darian Thompson and S Donovan Wilson were all out with ankle injuries. Guard Zack Martin was also limited with a back issue.
