The Giants did not walk away from The Stick unscathed. In the process they lost starting CB Aaron Ross to a leg contusion and then OLB Michael Boley to a hamstring injury.
Coach Tom Coughlin said he didn’t know how severe Boley’s injury is, but indications are that he could miss a couple of games...However, losing Boley was something bigger than the previous injuries. The seventh-year linebacker is the captain on defense, the man who calls the signals. That might have had something to do with why the Giants allowed just three field goals in the first half, and 18 points in the second half.
“It’s actually kind of funny,” Justin Tuck said. “We were talking about who on this defense would it hurt to lose, and unanimously we talked about Boley. He is that guy who gets everybody set up and lined up, front seven and sometimes the back. It’s tough. Hopefully it’s not as serious as it looked and hopefully he’ll get back in the lineup as soon as possible because we definitely need him.”
