"Let's just say we haven't forgotten what happened there," right guard Chris Snee said in a Wall Street Journal article. "We know what the final score was, and we know what happened in there. It's already been talked about. Let's leave it at that."
Let's go back and review that day:
- Minnesota was ahead, 37-0. Facing a fourth-and-goal from the one-yard line, the Vikings went for it and scored.
- The Giants were penalized 13 times and only had 73 yards through three quarters.
- Brett Favre was 25-of-31 for 316 yards and four touchdowns in less than three quarters of work.
"They're very well aware of it," head coach Tom Coughlin said about his team's recollections of that game. "We mentioned it at the conclusion of our postgame comments with the team [Sunday]. They're very well aware of it. That will not prevent us from making sure that they do have a very good recollection of how we've gone in there the last couple of times we've played there."
