If Kevin Durant decides to play for the Knicks, he may have a local ally in Saquon Barkley.
The Giants running back was giving his thoughts on the NBA Finals at his youth football camp in North Caldwell, NJ on Saturday when he had a Freudian slip discussing the injured Warriors forward.
"If KD comes back, I mean, KD's the best player in the world," Barkley said, before quickly correcting himself. "I mean one of the best players in the world. It's him and LeBron [James]."
Barkley laughed it off and, probably knowing how inflammatory these debates can be, started reciting some numbers put up by James this season to give him proper respect.

"LeBron was hurt the majority of the year so it's not like we got the true LeBron," Barkley said. "He was still averaging like 27-8-8. Not like he dropped off."
The 22-year-old running back is also a big fan of Stephen Curry, but is amazed at what Kawhi Leonard has done with the Toronto Raptors, who are already up 1-0 on the Warriors. Therefore Barkley is choosing the Raptors as his NBA Finals winner.
"Kawhi is going crazy right now," he said. "I have the Raptors. I said it on my [Instagram] story the other day: The Raptors are winning the Finals if KD doesn't come back."
