QB Alex Tanney has signed with the Giants, he announced on Twitter on Wednesday.
Tanney, 30, has spent time with the Chiefs, Browns, and Titans during his career, appearing in one game for the Titans in 2015.
He has also been an offseason and/or practice squad member of the Cowboys, Buccaneers, Bills, and Colts.
Tanney gives the Giants a fourth quarterback on the roster to go along with Eli Manning, Davis Webb, and the recently-drafted Kyle Lauletta.
The Giants also signed DT A.J. Francis, the team announced.
Francis, who turns 28 years old next week, has spent time with the Patriots, Dolphins, Seahawks, and Redskins during his career.
He played in six games last season for the Redskins, amassing 18 total tackles.
