The 6-foot, 200 lbs Carlos played two years at Purdue, first as a wide receiver and later as a running back. He was briefly with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011, but has no professional playing experience.
The team had a roster opening after waiving RB Jeremy Wright on Friday.
Carlos is a tweener, which means he is versatile and/or has not distinguished himself at one position. He has played WR, RB and returner in the past. Sounds a little bit like Darius Reynaud, huh?
At his Purdue pro day earlier this year, Carlos ran a an impressive 4.32 40. The Giants want to have a KR to spell David Wilson and Carlos could be a candidate for the job.
