All we can do for you is draw conclusions based on his actions (or inactions) by connecting the dots. Right now, the dots are hard to find and few and far between at that.
Some very good players are no longer with the club and by all accounts they will be missed. WR Steve Smith is the
latest defection and definitely the most painful, moving his address down the turnpike after signing with the hated Eagles.
Reese has no comment. He leaves that to head coach Tom Coughlin to tend to during his daily media gatherings. Coughlin said today he was disappointed that Smith left and that the team never got the chance to compete for his services.
From SNY Giants Insider Mike Garafolo of the Star-Ledger:
""I’m disappointed, obviously," Coughlin said. "We thought he’d be a Giant all the way, with the circumstances and the fact (Giants team physician Russ)Warren did the surgery. I think we know quite a bit about what it takes to get him back on the field.
"But having said all of that, we certainly know that’s the nature of our business. There are some disappointing factors involved, which I’m not going to get into because I’m not the one to speak on that. But we’re disappointed he’s not here.""
Where's Reese's comments you ask? Good question...
