Giants GM Dave Gettleman refuses to shut the door on trading Odell Beckham Jr., and the rumors will continue unless he does. Here's the latest...
March 12:7:57 P.M.
The Giants have traded Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns, according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network.
March 12, 2:48 PM:
An undisclosed AFC North continued to check in on the availability of Beckham on Tuesday, with discussions ongoing, reported ESPN's Josina Anderson.
March 11, 2:51 PM:
The Giants are not shopping Beckham, but if a team calls about him, they will listen, SNY's Ralph Vacchiano reported after speaking with team sources. That has been their position for weeks, noted Vacchiano, and it remained so on Monday. "It's the same as it was last week," said one team source, who added that the Giants still expect Beckham will be on their roster in 2019.
The 49ers were one of the teams that called about Beckham last March when word got out that the Giants were willing to listen to offers. Reportedly the Patriots also called back then. The Raiders also were interested in Beckham, according to a league source, before they managed to trade a third- and fifth-round pick for Antonio Brown.
March 11, 12:52 PM:
SNY's Ralph Vacchiano reported on March 3 that if a team was willing to overwhelm the Giants with an offer (think two first-round picks), that they're certainly willing to trade Beckham.
During the NFL Combine, Giants GM Dave Gettleman was given multiple chances to shut down the Beckham rumors once and for all. Instead, he danced around the issue, refusing to give a flat "no" when asked about the possibility of a Beckham trade.
