The Giants released their injury report after Thursday's practice. The following players were listed...
Did Not Participate in Practice
- WR Victor Cruz (ankle)
- OG Justin Pugh (knee)
- DE Kerry Wynn (concussion)
Limited Participation in Practice (Less than 100 percent of a player's normal repetitions)
- S Andrew Adams (shoulder)
- QB Ryan Nassib (elbow)
Victor Cruz has a low ankle sprain that's not considered serious at all. In fact, Dr. Russell Warren, the Giants' team physician, told him "We're optimistic that you can play this week." Still, Cruz didn't practice on Thursday and it's unclear if he will on Friday. He's far from being ruled out on Monday night, but the Giants are going to be careful with him. Ankle sprains can be tricky, and Cruz obviously has a recent history of other injuries so they don't want him to overcompensate and hurt something else.
The Giants only other significant injury - at least among those on the active roster - is the knee sprain suffered by LG Justin Pugh. He's going to be ruled out for Monday night's game and figures to at least miss one more game after that, too. Probably more.
