Joining the offensive line duo on the report as questionable to suit up Sunday were Jamal Adams (ankle), Henry Anderson (knee/shoulder), Robby Anderson (calf), Kelvin Beachum (back/ankles), Kenneth Dixon (illness), Steve McLendon (knee/hip), Brian Poole (ankle) and Demaryius Thomas (hamstring/knee).

The Jets listed 12 players on Wednesday's injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills, many of which did not surprise.

One noteworthy entry, though, was Robby Anderson.

New York's big-play receiver was estimated -- the team did not practice on Christmas Day -- as limited with a calf injury.

Over the next few weeks, the Jets should be getting several starters back from injury or suspension, headlined of course by Sam Darnold. This should provide a much-needed injection of talent for a team that has mostly been over matched in losing each of their first four games.

However, while the team as a whole has been struggling, there have been some positive flashes here and there from young players who have been making the most of their opportunity for additional playing time.

While the returning players should send most of these individuals back to the bench, it would be a shame if their playing time dried up altogether. Let's explore some players who deserve to continue getting chances to contribute even as the team approaches full strength:

The Jets were expecting to get another weapon back to their offense this week, but their luck continues to go sideways.

Tight end Chris Herndon, who has been suspended the past four games due to violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy, suffered a hamstring injury, head coach Adam Gase revealed on Wednesday. His injury occurred while running routes in preparation for his return this week.

Gase was blunt when asked about his reaction to Herndon's injury.

Jets defensive lineman Henry Anderson was fined for a hit on Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen in his team's 17-16 season opening loss in Week 1.

He will be dinged $10,527 by the NFL, it was announced on Saturday.

Anderson had a late hit on Allen in the game. Later on it was revealed via cameras that Anderson also took a low shot on Allen, too. Having fallen to the ground, Anderson crawled to the side of Allen's legs after a pass and knocked him down.

The Jets' newest defensive lineman, Henry Anderson, has had an up-and-down offseason. More specifically with his weight.

Anderson was a part of the Colts when the offseason began -- the team he has been with since he came into the league as a third-rounder in 2015. And with new head coach Frank Reich joining Indianapolis for next season, the defense for the Colts changed from a 3-4 scheme to a 4-3.

This change forced Anderson to cut weight, and at 6-foot-6, 295 pounds, the Colts wanted him to drop to 270. Anderson bought in and began to put some heavy restrictions on his diet, which meant eating the same things over and over...
