In Toronto, they've seen this all before. So much so that they're chanting for the hometown baseball team only three games into the season:
Meanwhile, the Islanders had some pretty goals. Michael Grabner's empty netter was one of the nicest empty netters you'll ever see (along with a beautiful wrister for his second goal). Keith Aucoin made a save on the doorstep, worth seeing again:
The Isles are now 2-1 and start out the first game of this road trip with a big win. Tonight, they'll be back in action in Boston against the Bruins tonight. The Bruins are coming off a 3-2 OT loss to the Rangers on Wednesday night. We'll see how the Islanders fare playing on back-to-back nights for the first time this season. With the second game in as many nights you would have to think Nabokov will get a night off, especially with the opportunity to let DiPietro play in his hometown, but nothing has been announced yet.
