VISNOVSKY'S FRIEND LOSES SONWith all the talk about family regarding Lubomir Visnovsky earlier in the year -- he stayed in Slovakia to attend to his son -- that's the reason he returned to Slovakia earlier in the week:
[sny-box]According to reports out of Bratislava, Visnovsky's close friend lost his 13-year-old son in a helicopter crash over the weekend. The two families are extremely tight-knit.[/sny-box]

NIEDERRIETER COOLING OFFNino Niederreiter has had an excellent season in the AHL but recently he hasn't been producing quite so much. After a hot start to the year, 36 points in 37 games, Niederreiter has cooled significantly scoring only four points in his last 17 games. Coach Scott Pellerin tells the CT Post:
[sny-box]"He's (had) shifts where I kind of jump out of my seat, like, `wow,'" Bridgeport coach Scott Pellerin said.
"At times, there's still so much to work on. It's finding that consistency. Points are one thing. I just want consistency. If you do that, you're going to get rewarded."[/sny-box]
