.) Heading into the first game, Fitzpatrick views the Jets as a veteran group that’s handled and seen a lot of adversity, and he's excited to see what they're going to do.
.) There's a lot of talent in Cleveland's secondary and the Jets are going to have their hands full, but the Jets have a lot of talent going against them as well.
.) His leg injury hasn't changed the particular type of style he's going to play.
.) Avoiding turnovers is something he's focusing on, but he can't take much away from how he played during the preseason.
.) There was never a point during his rehab where he thought he was finished as an NFL player.
Some good information here from Fitzpatrick, but I think the most interesting is that he looks like he will be wary of but not scared by the Cleveland secondary. To be clear it's a good group and has a great blend of veteran presence in CB Tramon Williams and S Donte Whitner with young top talent in the form of S Tashaun Gipson and CB Joe Haden. Justin Gilbert and Pierre Desir were sought after draft picks last year, but they've yet to really prove themselves for a sustained period and I think that Fitzpatrick will look to attack the slot extensively and work in the short pass / screen game to keep the ball moving through the air.
