Cromartie will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the full extent of the injury.
Cromartie left the field after he was going back in coverage and his left knee hyperextended. He was carted off the field with a towel over his head.
Sept. 13, 5:34 p.m.: The injury was non-contact in nature which is always ultra-concerning. Cromartie was taken off the field with his head under a towel and based on the close-ups he looked to be in extreme pain from the injury. Losing Cromartie for extended time will be troubling, but the Jets have a solid group of corners one to six and will return Dee Milliner once he's cleared from his IR-DFR designation. Until then, the signing of Buster Skrine seems extremely prescient and coupled with Marcus Williams, Darrin Walls and the rest of the backs they should be able to forge ahead, even though the receivers they face will get increasingly difficult in the weeks ahead.
