Jets GM Joe Douglas' debut draft is in the books.
Douglas addressed the offensive line in the first round with Mekhi Becton, added a playmaker in Denzel Mims in the second round, and continued to build from there.
After the draft came to a close, Douglas caught up with SNY's Jeane Coakley to talk about how he felt things went with his first draft.
"We feel good about where we are," Douglas said. "I feel like we're a better team now than we were Thursday afternoon before this draft started. We're excited to hopefully get these guys in the building as soon as possible.
"There were a lot of goals that we had. I feel like we were able to get a lot of quality players. … I think we were able to get guys who were leaders and also guys that produced at a high level in their college career."
You can catch the full, exclusive interview with Douglas during Jets Nation: Draft Day Special, which airs Sunday at 8 p.m. on SNY.
