Jets OLB Dylan Donahue checked into rehab following a DUI arrest last month, a source confirmed to SNY's Ralph Vacchiano.
Donahue, who had five tackles in four games for the Jets last year in his rookie campaign, was arrested after being involved in a crash in the Lincoln Tunnel. It was his second DUI arrest, with the first arrest being in May of 2017, according to NJ.com.
"Dylan recognizes the seriousness of these issues and has voluntarily taken some important initial steps to deal with them," said Donahue's agent, Gary Uberstine. "He is committed to this process of self-improvement, appreciates people respecting his privacy as he works to get healthy, and will address this matter publicly at an appropriate time."
A Jets spokesperson said the team respects and supports Donahue's decision to seek treatment.
"It is important for him to focus on his health right now," the spokesperson sad. "The organization has a full support system in place when he is ready to return."
The former fifth-round draft pick's rookie season was cut short by a season-ending elbow injury. He recorded two tackles in the Jets' 23-20 win over the Jaguars in Week 4 before he suffered the injury.
