6-foot-7, 367-pound Louisville OT Mekhi Becton could be a perfect fit as the Jets look to fortify their line in front of Sam Darnold. And Becton recently met with Joe Douglas and Co.
Becton also expects to meet with the Giants.
"I just like how grimy you guys are," Becton said about New York. "Just love the New York griminess."
Adding that he wants to get down to around 350 pounds ("I'm willing to lose weight. Whatever they need me to do"), Becton said he needs to work on his footwork and hand placement, but was not lacking confidence.
"I feel I'm the most dominant tackle in this draft," he said. "You wouldn't go wrong picking me. ... They don't expect a person like me to move that well, so I feel like I surprise a lot of people. ... I love being the biggest offensive lineman. I love intimidating guys."
While the 20-year-old Becton would be protection for Darnold, he would also be someone Le'Veon Bell can run behind.
"Open the hole and run behind me," Becton said. "I can get you to score a touchdown, pretty much. Just run behind me, you're gonna score."
The latest Mock Draft from CBS had the Jets trading up to nab Becton.
