New York fell to 10-29 after Friday's loss to the Pelicans. That's the third-worst record in the NBA.
If they continue to play at this clip, the Knicks will be in position for one of the top picks in the 2020 NBA Draft.
For those fans already looking ahead to the 2020 Draft, it's worth noting that Lonzo Ball thinks his brother, LaMelo, could handle the added attention of playing in New York with ease.
"I don't think it's going to bother him. He's been in the spotlight since he was 15. He's 18 now. He'll be fine," Ball said after New Orleans' win over the Knicks.
Ball, a 6-7 guard, has been playing in a professional league in Australia with the Illawarra Hawks. He's widely projected as a top-5 pick in the upcoming draft.
"If he comes here (to New York) he's going to help them a lot," Lonzo Ball said of his brother. "He's going to help any team he goes to."
The Knicks have been searching for consistent point guard play for the better part of the last 20 years. If they end up with one of the top picks in the draft, they'll almost assuredly consider Ball and the elite guards.
Lonzo Ball believes his brother is the top prospect in the 2020 Draft.
"What he did overseas, what he did in high school, I think he's the fair choice, honestly," Ball said. "He's been killing grown men in Australia which is a very good league so I expect the same thing in the pros."
For more on LaMelo Ball, SB Nation's Ricky O'Donnell recently had a breakdown of Ball's strengths on weakness in its mock draft.
