The Mets are aiming to complete an opening series sweep against the Nationals on Sunday afternoon at 1:35 p.m. on SNY.
The last time the Mets swept the Nationals actually came almost a year to the date. They swept Washington on April 5-8. ...Pete Alonso collected his first RBIs of his young career on Saturday. ...Jeff McNeil tied his career-high with four hits yesterday. He now has four, four-hit games in his first 65 games of his career, becoming one of 13 players to do so. ...Edwin Diaz, who led the Majors in saves last season, already has two on the year.

Who is starting for the Mets?
RHP Zack Wheeler.
Getting his first start of the season, Wheeler is looking to pick up where he left off in the second half of 2018. He owned a 1.96 ERA over his final 12 starts, which was good for second in the MLB in ERA from July 14. He also had the third-lowest ERA post All-Star break at 1.68.
This spring, Wheeler posted a 4.80 ERA and 1.13 WHIP over 15 innings.
Who is starting for the Nationals?
LHP Patrick Corbin.
Corbin signed a big deal with the Nationals early this offseason, and he's looking to make a good first impression to his new fanbase. With the Diamondbacks in 2018, Corbin had a career year with a 3.15 ERA and 1.05 WHIP -- both career highs -- over 200 innings.
The Mets take their road trip to sunny Miami, where they face the Marlins on Monday at 7:10 p.m. to kickoff a three-game set before heading home for their home opener.
