The Mets have removed five players from from the 40-man roster, including RHP Erik Goeddel, the team announced.
The team also outrighted RHP Tyler Pill, outfielders Travis Taijeron and Wuilmer Becerra and infielder Phil Evans.
All five players cleared waivers, according to Marc Carig of Newsday.
The 28-year-old Goeddel dealt with biceps tendinitis late last month after being out from Sept. 6 to Sept. 17 due to dizziness and blurred vision.
He had a 5.28 ERA (5.61 FIP) and 1.34 WHIP while allowing 28 hits, walking 11, and striking out 33 in 29.0 innings (33 games) this past season for the Mets.
Goeddel had a 2.70 ERA for the Mets in 2014, which was his rookie season, followed by a 2.43 ERA in 2015 and a 4.54 ERA in 2016.
