The Mets (65-60, 9.0 GB in NL East, 2.0 GB in NL Wild Card) continue their three-game series against the Cleveland Indians (74-52, 3.0 GB in AL Central, 1.5 GA in AL Wild Card) at Citi Field on Wednesday at 7:10 p.m.
The Mets, who have won nine of their last 11 series since the All-Star break, have won three games in a row and four of their last five with a 25-10 record -- best in the MLB -- to sneak back into the Wild Card hunt. The Mets' dominance has especially occured in their home confines of Citi Field, where they have won 11 of their past 12 games, dating back to July 26's 6-3 victory against the Pittsburgh Pirates that got the ball rolling. A big part of the revival has come from the Mets' lineup, led by three key culprits -- LF J.D. Davis, RF Michael Conforto and SS Amed Rosario -- who fueled Tuesday's 9-2 win over the Indians. Among those three, Conforto is slashing .290/.382/.565 with 11 home runs, 21 runs and 31 RBI in 34 games since the All-Star break.

Who is starting for the Mets?
RHP Marcus Stroman (7-11, 3.21 ERA) is 1-0 in three starts with the Mets since the July 28 trade from the Toronto Blue Jays. In Stroman's starts, the Mets are 3-0. After the Mets' wins over the Pirates (7-5, Aug. 3) and Washington Nationals (7-6, Aug. 9) with Stroman on the mound, the Long Island native notched his first victory last Thursday. Before the Mets' bullpen pulled out an 10-8 edge of the Atlanta Braves over the final 4.2 frames, he scattered three runs (two earned) on four hits, overcoming some control issues with five strikeouts to four walks. Stroman's final start with the Blue Jays actually came July 24 against the Indians, a tough-luck 11-6 loss fumbled by Toronto's bullpen after he yielded one run on five hits with his six strikeouts to one walk in 7.0 innings.
Who is starting for the Indians?
RHP Adam Plutko (5-3, 4.67 ERA) aims to duplicate his latest start from last Thursday, when he set the tone for the Indians' 19-5 rout of the Yankees. Plutko went 6.0 innings, limiting the Yankees' potent lineup to three runs on six hits while striking out three and walking one.
The Mets complete their three-game series against the Indians on Thursday, hosting one more 7:10 p.m. start at Citi Field.
