In Game 1, the pitching combination of Eduardo Aldama (5 IP, 3 hits, bb, 6 K) and Jack Leathersich (SV(1), 2 IP, 3 hits, 1 er, bb, 5K) limited Batavia to just one run on six hits. The two pitchers combined to strikeout 11 while walking only two.

Domingo Tapia pitched six strong innings to lead Kingsport to a 4-1 victory over Pulaski. The 19-year old Tapia allowed just one run on four hits, while walking three and striking out two.
Tapia is clearly one of the Mets best young arms. If you remember, Mets VP for Scouting and Player Development, Paul DePodesta pointing out that Tapia has been in the upper 90s every start this year.
