Although he didn't pitch in 2019, Bartolo Colon is not giving up on his desire to pitch again in the majors, reports Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com.
Sanchez shared a video of Colon throwing off a mound in the Dominican Republic while wearing Mets shorts and a t-shirt:
The 46-year-old Colon, who pitched for the Mets from 2014 to 2016, had largely unsuccessful stints with the Braves, Twins, and Rangers in 2017 and 2018 before going unsigned in 2019.
During his stops with the Braves, Twins, and Rangers, Colon had a 6.13 ERA (5.34 FIP) and 1.46 WHIP in 289.1 IP.
The Mets have an open spot in their rotation and have been recently linked to free agent Rick Porcello.
