Travis d'Arnaud was ranked as the tenth-best catcher in the Major Leagues by the MLB Network (MLBN, Feb. 11).
The rankings take into account both offensive and defensive metrics, along with 2016 projections.
D'Arnaud, 27, played in just 67 games last season after multiple injuries caused him to miss extended time.
When he was on the field, d'Arnaud was very productive in his limited time. He hit .268 with a .340 OBP, 12 home runs and 41 RBI in only 239 at-bats.
Buster Posey, Russell Martin, Jonathan Lucroy, Francisco Cervelli, Stephen Vogt, Brian McCann, Yadier Molina, Salvador Perez and Derek Norris filled out the top-nine spots on the list.
