Uribe underwent X-rays which came back negative after he left the game and will be further evaluated on Monday.
"He's pretty sore," manager Terry Collins said.
Trainers examined Uribe on the field after he dove headfirst on the right-field grass to stop a ground ball hit by Brett Gardner in the third inning.
Trainers initially checked Uribe for a collarbone injury, ESPN's Buster Olney said on Sunday Night Baseball.
Daniel Murphy replaced Uribe at second base.
