Bojan Bogdanovic has finally rediscovered his game.
Bogdanovic played 38 minutes and shot 8-of-16 from the field, including 3-of-7 from deep, en route to a 19 point, five rebound performance.
"He made shots and he was aggressive," Lionel Hollins said of Bogdanovic's performance. "We would like to hope that this is a turn-on switch for him to have a series of games where he scores in double figures and shoots the ball well."
Well, this was refreshing. Bogdanovic has been abysmal this season, so much so that rumors had popped up that the Nets were anxious to cut ties with him. He shot just 40.7 percent from the field in November, and had seen his points per game drop to 7.8. Finally, it looks like he may have turned the corner. Bogdanovic played with a little reckless abandonment on Tuesday, and it was refreshing to see. Sure, he missed on some mid-range jumpers, but those attempts also opened up the paint for him, where he had 10 of his 19 points.
Let's face it, the Nets don't have to be too fine here. The 5-4 home record is encouraging, but at 6-15, it doesn't look like this season is headed in a fun direction. It's time for everyone to show if they fit on this club for the future. Bogdanovic showed on Tuesday that he has plenty to offer, and that could help the Nets make some decisions moving forward.
