During Croatia's group play opener in the tournament, Bogdanovic sustained a head injury after falling to the floor on a missed lay in attempt.
"Doctors say I need to rest tonight, but my desire to play against Greece is strong," Bogdanovic tweeted on Saturday, before the decision was made to sit him out Sunday.
Bogdanovic will not play in Croatia's next game on Tuesday (Sept. 8).
This is Bojan's second injury in a week. He tweaked his ankle in friendly competition at the end of August, and now a concussion. If I'm the Nets, I want Bogdanovic on the shelf for the rest of the tournament.
I know Eurobasket means a lot to the foreign-born players who compete in it, but Bogdanovic is going to be integral to the Nets' success this season. Brooklyn has a lot invested in the 26 year old, and they can't afford to have him push it nearly two months before the season starts. It's also worth noting that Eurobasket has no concussion protocol, so I wouldn't be shocked if Billy King made some calls over Labor Day weekend. We'll see how long Bojan misses, but I hope he gives himself time to get better before camp.
