Bontemps points out, among other things, that Humphries was one of five players to average a double-double last season. Who are the other four?
Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol, Kevin Love, and Blake Griffin.
Last season, Humphries averaged career bests of 13.8 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. Better yet, though, is that he says he doesn't care if he doesn't get credit for being a pretty good player. All he cares about is winning.
"Five players have averaged double-digit points and rebounds in each of the last two seasons. Most basketball fans would immediately think of four: Lakers teammates Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol, Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love and Clippers power forward Blake Griffin.
As for the fifth player, it’s unlikely fans initially would think to put Nets power forward Kris Humphries on a list of that caliber. But for Humphries, now entering his third full season with the Nets, that’s just fine with him."
