The Nets will be without Caris LeVert against the Jazz in Utah on Tuesday.
The team announced that the shooting guard suffered a thumb sprain during Sunday's 138-112 loss to the Suns. LeVert took a fall in the game which is the presumed cause of the injury.
LeVert logged 26 minutes in the contest and had his finger examined after the game. The 25-year-old told reporters that he had an X-ray on the injury following Sunday's game and then had an MRI on Monday. A short time later the team announced he'd sit out Tuesday.
The Nets have a packed schedule which sees them playing every other day over the next week-plus. Along with their Jazz meeting, the Nets will visit the Denver Nuggets on Thursday and Chicago Bulls on Saturday before returning to New York for a meeting with the Indiana Pacers on Monday.
LeVert, 25, averages 16.8 points and 31.6 minutes per game, both career-highs.
