Harper, a 6'10 forward, will receive a non-guaranteed contract and an invite to Nets camp.
Harper last saw NBA action during the 2011-12 with the Orlando Magic, where he averaged 1.4 points, 0.9 rebounds, and six minutes over 14 games.
Harper, a former second round pick by Cleveland, is receiving the invite to camp for his size alone. There just aren't a lot of near-seven footers who have NBA talent. I don't really expect much out of Harper, but you never know. Look at Jerome Jordan, who came to camp last year without any kind of expectations, then suddenly had me calling for him to be a lock on the Opening Night roster just a few weeks later.
