Kyrie Irving's anticipated return to the Nets is going to happen on Sunday.
When the Nets host the Atlanta Hawks at 6 p.m., Irving is expected to be back, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Irving has missed nearly two months with a right shoulder injury.
On Thursday, Irving commented he was hopeful to return as early as "next week." Irving has been out since Nov. 14.
"Hopefully I can get some game reps, in addition to this practice, but probably in the next week or so," Irving said. "It could be less than that. But I'm going to give myself a week, and see where we go from there after another evaluation."
Irving received a cortisone shot on Dec. 24 instead of getting surgery, although surgery could still be in play.
The Nets went 4-7 with Irving through the first 11 games of the season, but have since gone 13-13.
