OK, so the Nets lost their last two games, and yes, each were extremely ugly for one reason or another.

The Nets received a ton of praise after their opening night victory against the Raptors, but the team has been derided since then, and deservedly so.

With all the wheeling and dealing the Brooklyn Nets did this offseason, it?s almost easy to forget one of the team?s most important transactions: re-signing power forward Kris Humphries to a two-year, $24 million deal.

The 235-pound rebounding machine has been a major part of the Nets? offense the past two seasons, and he?ll once again be counted on this season to produce.

Over the years, the Nets have been a franchise that have played in many different areas and arenas in both New York and New Jersey. It's hard to imagine that this is the same franchise that Dr. J played for and the same one that Jason Kidd led to two consecutive NBA Finals back in 2002 and 2003.

Now that the Nets have relocated to Brooklyn, it's easy to forget that this team was New Jersey's team for many, many years.

Nets head coach Avery Johnson says the team is looking to add a first-round pick in the NBA Draft.

They currently own only the No. 57 pick in the second round and failed to land a lottery pick in the recent NBA Draft Lottery.

NEW YORK -- NBA Commissioner David Stern is hoping for some renewed "sparks" in the Knicks-Nets rivalry once the Nets move to Brooklyn next season.

"I am hoping for more sparks, a few verbal, some buildup," Stern said Wednesday at the NBA Draft Lottery. "We are going to have two spectacular new buildings in New York City and we are going to have two very aggressively managed teams."

While the Knicks have a trio of stars in Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire and Tyson Chandler, plus international sensation Jeremy Lin,?to play in the renovated Madison Square Garden, it remains unclear just who will be on the Nets roster at the Barclays Center.
