Jim Mancari: Everyone has been saying that the Giants come through with the season on the line. I also believe this is true, but I have a feeling it's not going to be easy beating the Ravens traveling to Baltimore. I'm expecting a tight contest with a few big plays/mental mistakes on either side which will decide the game. The Ravens' defense is banged up, but the team has also lost three straight games and would rather not limp into the playoffs. The Giants need to score touchdowns when they get to the red zone in order to win this game. Sure, Joe Flacco has not been playing great, but with a player as explosive as Ray Rice, he can find the endzone every time he touches the ball. And Lawrence Tynes better be on target, because this game will likely come down to his leg. Giants 20, Ravens 17

I stopped predicting Giants games a couple of weeks ago. It was becoming futile. Who knows whether Jekyll or Hyde will show up (Jekyll is the good one, btw). The Giants' offense should be able to make some headway against this Ravens defense. Ahmad Bradshaw should play and?Hakeem Nicks is a week healthier, so having those two will help. That being said, the Ravens' offense should be able to do some damage as well. The Giants will probably be chasing Ray Rice all day.

New York has to get their return game going. Today's game is outdoors, so David Wilson should get some opportunities.

The Giants (8-6) are in Baltimore this afternoon to face the playoff-bound Ravens. It is a must-win game if they have any designs on qualifying for the postseason, although they would not necessarily be eliminated should they lose. The Ravens come into the game losers of their last three, while the Giants are coming off their first regular-season shutout loss in 16 years.

Giants (8-6) at Baltimore Ravens (9-5) (Sunday, FOX, 4:25 PM ET)

The Ravens are already in. The Giants hope to join them. Baltimore, which has clinched a playoff berth, can win the AFC North with a victory. The defending Super Bowl champions will assure themselves at least a postseason spot with wins in their final two games.

?If we win two games, we?re going to be in the playoffs,? says Giants head coach Tom Coughlin. ?That?s what we have to focus on. Our team knows the circumstances very well. It is a playoff situation for us. We now have to win to have the opportunity to go to the playoffs. We?ve responded to that in the past. We?re going to have to respond to that again.?

The Giants (7-7) travel across the parking lot to face their co-tenants - the Jets - in an inter-conference game that has taken on a life of its own.

Each team needs to win to better it's playoff lot, but bragging rights and the salvation of fans, players and coaches are at stake as well. This is the big one. The most important game of this series, which began right after Richard Nixon set up shop in the White House.

Jets head coach Rex Ryan is never at a loss for words, and today was no different. The Jets simply got brutalized by the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday and Ryan did not seem to want to speak too much about the spanking nor about the injuries to QB Mark Sanchez and RB Joe McKnight. You can read more about Jet-centric stuff over at The Jets Blog.

Here are some nuggets from Ryan about the Giants, this week's game and the two clubs' effort to coexist in the same space - ?courtesy of the Jets Media Relations Department:

Giant?thoughts on a snowy Monday morning:

- Tom Coughlin should be the Giants' coach next season. I believe Giants' ownership likes Coughlin and would want him back, but his contract makes things tricky.?He has one year left on his current deal, and generally a coach would either be let go or get an extension in order to avoid the lame-duck status. If the Giants don't make the playoffs, I'm not sure how comfortable the front office?will?feel about?extending the 64-year old Coughlin. Still, he should be back. The only name that people seem to be considering to replace Coughlin is Bill Cowher. That would be a lateral move. One Super Bowl for Coughlin. One for Cowher. And Cowher had some disappointments in the playoffs that people seem to forget. The Giants should stick with what they have and add at least one year to?Coughlin's contract. I know the endings to the last three years (keep in mind this one hasn't been written yet) haven't been great, but there was that championship in '07 and a lot of winning along the way.

- Yesterday was ugly, no doubt about it. Eli Manning gave the ball away too many times, and both Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs fumbled away giant opportunities. People have been so quick this year to run Brandon Jacobs out of town. Before that happens, and before we anoint Bradshaw as the No. 1 back of the future, he's going to have to learn how to hold onto the football. As for Eli, yesterday's performance gave his critics a week - perhaps an entire off-season - to hammer away.

From our esteemed colleague at WFAN here in NY, Paul Dottino....

Second chances. They are not guaranteed, so they need to be utilized whenever they arrive.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin and quarterback Eli Manning were right in trying to turn the page the day after last Sunday?s devastating collapse against Philadelphia. Sure, the Eagles made like an iceberg and busted a hole in the bottom of the Giants? ship, but this doesn?t mean it has to sink like the Titanic.
