SNY's Award-Winning Broadcast Makes Its Regular Season Debut Tuesday, April 5
Following a thrilling 2015 season that captivated the Tri-State area and baseball world alike, the New York Mets enter the 2016 season with eyes towards the team's third World Series crown. SNY, the official television home of the New York Mets, will be there every step of the way as the network provides comprehensive coverage of the defending National League champions, including more than 125 exclusive games. The Emmy Award-winning Mets broadcast on SNY debuts Tuesday, April 5th as the team clashes with its 2015 World Series foe the Kansas City Royals from Kauffman Stadium. SNY's coverage begins at 3:00 p.m. with Mets First Pitch presented by Cadillac.
SNY's broadcast team of Ron Darling, Keith Hernandez, and Gary Cohen, widely considered the best booth in baseball, returns for an unprecedented 11th season together. Mets on-field reporter Steve Gelbs is back providing in-game interviews and features with players, coaches and other personalities. The award-winning production team headed by executive producer Curt Gowdy, Jr., senior coordinating producer Gregg Picker, and directors Bill Webb and Dan Barr, continue in their roles for all SNY-produced Mets telecasts.
Gary Apple anchors Citi Pre-Game Live and W.B. Mason Post Game Live alongside studio analyst Nelson Figueroa and former Mets General Manager Jim Duquette, who returns as a regular contributor. Emanating from SNY's street-level studio in the heart of Manhattan, Citi Pre-Game will air prior to all SNY broadcasts while W.B. Mason Post Game Live follows every game - including Mets games on PIX11, FOX, and ESPN - providing instant highlights and player interviews from the day's game.
Mets First Pitch, which airs immediately before Citi Pre-Game Live, contains pre-game press conferences with Terry Collins, in-depth player profiles and exclusive instructional segments with Keith, Ron, and Nelson.
Mets Insider presented by W.B. Mason, the network's popular magazine style series featuring a variety of topics including Mets draft prospects, player profiles, "Where are they Now" segments and much more, returns Sunday, April 3rd at 7 p.m. Check your local listings for air dates and times throughout the season.
