On MSG, Talbot spoke with John Giannone:
- On the game, "it was a little slow, especially because I don't think I got a shot for the first 5-6 minutes and it's tough to get into the game and then in the second we took it to them off the start and didn't get a shot until the mid-way point of the period. It's tough to stay focused in those games with a lot of whistles and not too much flow but I gotta stay focused and do the best that I can."
- On the end of the game, "at 1-0 every goal is crucial obviously and it's about staying focused and fighting through screens and the guys did a great job of blocking shots in front of me so a lot of shots didn't get too the net."
- Do you think the game will be low scoring, "you could tell that it was a playoff atmosphere and both teams were fighting...we are trying to fight for the top of our division and they are fighting for a wild card spot, both teams knew what was on the line and it showed on the ice."
- On his pride and playing well with Hank out, "it's been a lot of fun for me and I think I have played more in the past three weeks then I did in the first four months, a lot of fun to go out there and be with the guys and to come up with some big wins and pick up points in the standings."
