9:06AM: The Rangers and Bruins reportedly have a deal in place that will send Rick Nash to Boston. (Bob McKenzie)
The trade call has not happened yet so the deal is not official but the Rangers are expected to get Boston's first round pick, prospect Ryan Lindgren and other pieces. (Bob McKenzie)
Lindgren was the Bruins 2nd round pick in 2016 and is in second season at the University of Minnesota.
Lindgren was a teammate last season of Vinni Lettieri and this season of Rangers prospect, and Lettieri's cousin, Tyler Nanne.
When he was drafted, the Bruins head scout Keith Gretzky said, "Lindgren blocks shots. He's not the most skilled guy like [Charlie] McAvoy or anything like that, but he brings an element that we really liked as an organization. We believe that he's a leader, and you win with those kinds of guys." (NBCS Boston)
Lindgren has played multiple times for Team USA in international competitions (U17, U18, U20) and been a captain or alternate captain on most of those teams.
He is also an alternate captain, as a sophomore, with Minnesota this year.
