7:42PM: Glen Sather told James Duthie of TSN that the Rangers need to close out the series tonight.
4:33PM: Arthur Staple writes that while the schedule shows that tonight is game six for the Rangers and Canadiens, the Rangers need to treat the game as if it is game seven and their backs are against the wall. (Newsday)
Brad Richards said yesterday that the team needs to create that sense of desperation for tonight. He said that they don't want to go back to Montreal and play a game seven where "anything can happen." (via the NHL)
James Duthie said on The Bryan Hayes show yesterday, "I think that Thursday is game seven for the Rangers. I don't think that there is anyway that that team is winning game seven in Montreal if the Habs have won two in a row and have all the momentum. From a MTL perspective, if we can just get one then the Rangers are going to be in a huge mental hole for game seven. The Rangers better win tomorrow because I don't think they are winning game seven.
Doug MacLean said on Hockey Central at Noon today, "I'd be a little nervous if I was the Rangers, I think Lundqvist is going to have to win this game for them...This is the Rangers game seven because I would not want to go into Montreal and that atmosphere and how MTL has played there. This is a game the Rangers has to win and I think there is pressure on the Rangers and I wouldn't be surprised if there is some Boston nervousness with this team."
