Ron Dayne, the 1999 Heisman Trophy winner who was selected 11th overall by the Giants in the 2000 NFL Draft, has been named to the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2013.

The news comes just days after Dayne was voted the worst draft pick in franchise history by an NFL com poll.

Dayne is certainly deserving of the college honor, so we need not dwell on how disappointing his pro career - especially in New York - was.

In a poll of writers and fans, NFL.com voted running back Ron Dayne as the worst draft pick by the New York Giants franchise.

The former Wisconsin standout and 1999 Heisman Trophy winner received 36 percent of the votes.

During his time as a Badger, he collected numerous awards, including the Maxwell, Walter Camp, Chic Harley, Doak Walker and Jim Brown awards, as well as Copper Bowl MVP in '96, and AP and ?Big Ten Player of the Year honors in '99.
