Roy Helu Jr.

The Jets are interested in former Redskins running back Roy Helu Jr. (Costello, March 10).

Helu could be a possible replacement for Percy Harvin, who was released earlier Tuesday. Helu has 73 catches for 728 yards and two touchdowns the past two seasons.

The Redskins took Helu (5 foot 11, 215 pounds) in the fourth round in the 2011 draft out of Nebraska. He rushed for a career-high 640 yards that season and 216 yards last season.
