Super Bowl XLV features two of the oldest franchises in the NFL: The Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Packers finished 10-6 and were the 6th seed in the NFC. They are winners of their last five games, including playoff victories in Philadelphia, Atlanta and Chicago, and are the first sixth seed in to reach the Super Bowl from the NFC.

The Steelers won the AFC North with a 12-4 record and have only lost once in their last nine games (Dec 19 vs NYJ). Pittsburgh began the season without QB Ben Roethlisberger (suspended thru Week 4) but won three of the four games he missed to put them on course for the post season.

For instance, when David confronted Goliath, some prop bets could have been: how many stones will it take to bring Goliath down? Which way will he fall - forward or backward? Etc, etc, etc....

It took four-and-a-half decades to finally see two of the classic NFL franchises facing each other in the Super Bowl.

The Green Bay Packers joined the National Football league in 1921, a year after the league was formed. The Pittsburgh Steelers came into the league in 1933, and played under name Pirates until 1940.

Ironically, in the 77 years they have co-existed in the NFL, they have only met head-to-head 32 times.
