Who is starting for the Tigers?
RHP Jordan Zimmermann will start for Detroit. He started his 2019 campaign on a high note last Thursday, carrying a no-hitter into the seventh inning against the Blue Jays, although he ultimately did not factor into the decision.
Zimmermann tends to pitch well in the Bronx. But last August, he allowed a trio of home runs to snap his 12-inning scoreless streak at Yankee Stadium.

Masahiro Tanaka, who turned in two runs -- one earned -- on Opening Day, is making his second start of the season. He fanned five and walked none over 5 2/3 frames against the Orioles. In six career starts against Detroit, he is 2-3 with a 3.82 ERA.
