Brett Gardner had a day he'd like to forget on Saturday, but his face will show the evidence for a bit.

The Yankees' outfielder went 0-4 at the plate during the 8-4 loss to the Indians, the Bombers' fifth loss in their last six games, but his lowest moment of the day came in the top of the sixth.
After flying out to deep right-center field, a heated Gardner slammed his batting helmet against the helmet rack. The helmet fought back, though, bouncing back and catching Gardner square in the mouth.
The 35-year-old stayed in the game and could be seen with a noticeable cut in his bottom lip. After the game, Gardner told reporters that he received six stitches in his lip to close the wound. He also said that he had recently warned DJ LeMahieu about throwing his helmet.
