The Yankees will avoid arbitration with RHP Michael Pineda, agreeing to a one-year deal, the team announced Friday.
The deal is worth worth $7.4 million, reports Jon Heyman of FanRag sports.
Pineda, 27, had a 4.82 ERA (3.79 FIP) and 1.34 WHIP with 207 strikeouts in 175 2/3 innings (32 starts) last season.
He is eligible for free agency after the 2017 season.
The Yankees also announced that they avoided arbitration with OF Aaron Hicks, RHP Adam Warren, and LHP Tommy Layne.
They avoided arbitration with INF Didi Gregorius and C Austin Romine earlier on Friday.
The Yankees did not avoid arbitration with RH reliever Dellin Betances.
